Friday and Saturday May 3rd & 4th 2024
The Open Day weekend is an exciting event for current and prospective families alike!
On Friday May 3, there is school as usual and tours are organised for families to see the classrooms in action. This day is is specifically for prospective families and tours are given at designated times.
On Saturday May 4, a day with many events has been organised. All locations are open to visitors, family and friends, there is catering, music events, a market and second-hand sale between 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.
Market and Second Hand Stalls
Rotselaerlaan, Tervuren
A cosy market square will be set up at the Rotselaerlaan 1-3 location with second-hand goods and handcrafted items. Families and other interested people are invited to sign up for this market with Head of School, Nicole via the e-mail address: tervuren@international-montessori.org
Stall set-up will be open from 9.00 a.m. and the market runs from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs. Catering will be provided by the students of the school. Last year we had lots of sunshine and a very happy atmosphere indeed!
Music Concerts and Catering
Hof Kleinenberg
It is Performance Day! Every child from primary onwards learns to play an instrument. With that, one also learns performance skills. The music teachers will make a schedule and performance times will be communicated to the parents in due time. All are invited to enjoy a concert and simultaneously show your child’s school to family and friends.
Families’ who’s children are transferring to the next age group and have not had a transfer tour as yet are also very welcome to visit the subsequent age-group, see the beautiful materials and meet the teachers.
The Open Day gives the Secondary Students a nice platform to practice organisational, interaction and service skills and therefore they will have a stall with food and drink. The profits made always go to a good cause.
Hof ten Berg
Will be open for tours of the beautiful classrooms being: Children’s Houses, Primary and the final years of the IB Secondary Section. The location also includes the Sports Hall. The Primary and Secondary children of the different Montessori locations come here every week to do their sports lessons. Sports teacher, Axel, will be available to give more information.
Savoorke
Savoorke provides tours for the Parent Infant Community, the Toddler programme and Children’s House. A beautiful and nurturing location for the very young child. Should your family welcome a baby in the near future, come and see what the Parent Infant series has to offer. There is a completely set up ‘home environment’ for the new-born to source ideas from and a Parent Library to read ahead!
