The symbiosis of language and cultural subjects

Info Session 1:

Symbiosis of Language and Cultural Subjects

This first session of the 2009 Information Evenings was a great success.

The six teachers of ‘Hof Kleinenberg’, Samantha, Patricia, Charlotte, Caroline, Chris and Laurence, prepared very informative and attractive displays of the activities the children work with on a daily basis.

Not only parents from the Woluwe location attended, but also an extensive group of parents from the other centres used this opportunity to learn more about the well-thought through approach to language.

Starting with the awareness of a variety of sounds (I Spy Game), linking these sounds to their symbols, combining these letters to new words made up in your own mind, and consequently being able to write these with the Large Movable Alphabet is still only the very beginning of the exploration of the wonderful world of language.

Due to the format of this evening there was ample time to become personally engaged in the teacher’s enthusiastic explanations.
