Primary Exhibitions and Presentations of Work
The children of the primary groups in Tervuren and Woluwe gave their parents the opportunity to catch a glimpse of what they are doing during their days at school.
In all three groups the mothers, fathers, grandparents and siblings made an effort to come along and experience the well prepared displays and presentations.
In the light of their studies focussing on the universe, the solar system in particular, two of the groups had just paid a visit to the Eurospace Centre.
A variety of models, charts, texts and other related stories were shown and explained in a confident manner by the children.
The Woluwe group even managed to get one bucket of moonwater. This was used to prepare special smoothies.
The visitors left the exhibiton with a postcard with the greetings from the moon.
During the months of October and November the older primary students prepared three presentations and exhibitions, including a spontanuous developed and created Shakespear spectacle.
The thorough presentation given to finalize their studies on the Middle Ages was accompanied by a slide show that gave a good impression of the excursion to Eindhoven.
After three months of working, laughing, practising and growing up, the group becomes more and more cohesive and is already able to tackle bigger projects.
This became very clear in the latest work exhibition. Parents were able to rediscover several facts and formulas already long forgotten, but now being clarified and explained in a comprehensive way by small teams.
Also different points of view concerning today’s issues were addressed.
Obviously minds under construction.
