Parent Infant Group - A good start lasts a lifetime
Parent Infant Group - A good start lasts a lifetimeA new series of Parent – Infant classes is scheduled to start on Tuesday January 19, 2010 Mums or dads and babies will meet ten Tuesdays from 13.15 to 14.45.
The dates being:
January 19 and 26
February 2, 9 and 23
March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
We will have a suitable environment for babies aged from four weeks to walking age. It contains a cestina basket for newborn babies with interesting mobiles, a mattress with mirrors for those who are practicing turning, interesting activities for eye-hand coordination, cushions for crawlers and climbing bars for those babies who are ready to pull themselves up. There is also a bridge to practise going up the steps and becoming independent!
The sessions will alternate: one week we will spend time together with the materials and every second week informative information will be provided on the following subjects:
- What is happening in there? How the brain develops and the importance of the surrounding environment
- Every baby is different: we will be looking at the first signs of personality traits and how adults can assist the baby in becoming him/herself!
- Oneness and separateness; babies are destined to become conscious and independent human beings. But how do they actually get there?
- Weaning, sleeping and potty training
- Looking ahead: what will my baby need when he walks?
The information sessions are given in the same room as the babies.
We will all learn and grow together.
